IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION CRIMINAL WRIT PETITION NO. 2290 OF 2016 Surinder Jora Singh Punjabi : Petitioner.
Versus
The State of Maharashtra : Respondent.
Through Jail - None for the Petitioner.
Ms.M H Mhatre, APP for the Respondent/State.
CORAM : S. S. SHINDE, MILIND N. JADHAV, JJ DATE : 10th June 2022 P.C.
The grievance raised by the Petitioner is that, the under trial prisoners are not being produced before the Court whenever their matters are fixed. The grievance raised by the Petitioner appears to be genuine. However, the Petition suffers from sufficient particulars. The averments are vague and general in nature. No specific relief can be granted to the Petitioner. The learned APP for the Respondent/State has tendered across the bar the letter written by the Additional Senior Jailor Gr. I, Judicial, Mumbai Central Prison, Mumbai. The same is taken on record and marked "X" for identification.
From perusal of the contents of the said letter, it appears that the Petitioner has been released on bail on 21/04/2017 With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. [MILIND N. JADHAV, J] [S. S. SHINDE , J] lgc
