This is an application for bail in C.R. No. 377 of 2018 registered with Chinchwad Police Station, Pune. The offences were registered under Section 363, 364 & 387 r/w Section 34 of Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case is that on 15th November, 2018 the accused kidnapped the victim girl aged about 12 years when she visited the stationary shop to purchase the pen. When she was returning from the shop accused came there in car and forced her to sit in the back seat of the car. Thereafter the accused called father of the victim and demanded Rs.50 Lacks as extortion amount. Initially the complaint was lodged under Section 363 of IPC. Subsequently

Learned advocate for the applicant submitted that the applicant is in custody from 16th November, 2018. Charge-sheet is filed. The applicant need not be subjected to further detention. No harm was caused to victim.

Learned APP submitted that offence is of serious nature. The victim is girl aged about 12 years. She was kidnapped. 5.

On perusal of the FIR and other documents, it can be seen that the victim child is aged about 12 years. The victim was kidnapped for ransom. Accused demanded an amount of Rs. 50 Lacks from the father of the victim. The offence is of serious nature. No case for grant of bail is made out. Hence, I pass the following order :

O R D E R

Bail Application No. 1636 of 2019 stands rejected and disposed of accordingly.
