1.
The petition is filed on 8-7-2015. It has appeared on numerous occasions on the board but on 31-3-2017 the petitioners and their Advocate were absent. This position continued, but on 28-4-2017 the Court found that the challenge is to an Ordinance dated 12-6-2015 by which Section 48 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 was amended. Thereafter, the Ordinance was replaced by an Act. The counsel for the petitioners sought time from this Court to take
suresh 5-WP-6917.2015.doc instructions whether the petitioners are desirous of challenging the constitutional validity of the amended provision in the Act. Thereafter, no attempt has been made to file any proceedings or application seeking to amend the petition.
2.
Today, the petitioners and their Advocate both are absent though their names are correctly displayed on the board. In the circumstances, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
