By an Order dated 30.06.2017, the Applicant was granted interim relief. The Applicant is the mother-in-law of the first informant. The allegation against the Applicant is that she along with other family members including the husband of the first informant caused cruelty to the first informant and demanded dowry from her. The record indicates that the husband and other inlaws of the first informant have been released on pre-arrest bail by the Sessions Court.

In view of the above and in view of the ratio laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Arnesh Kumar v/s. State of Bihar, reported in AIR 2014 Supreme Court, 2756, the Applicants are entitled to be protected by pre-arrest bail.
