P.C. :- The Petitioner has filed this Petition seeking a direction to the Second Respondent to hand over a original mark-sheet and other relevant documents pertaining to his son. 2.

The Second Respondent is the school where the son was admitted. He completed his 10th Standard and appeared for the examination. He cleared that examination and which is conducted by a Board known as IGCSE. The academic year is 2017-18. Now,

914. WPST. 17402.18.doc the grievance is that having passed this examination, the original mark-sheet is not being released because the Petitioner would not pay the fees for the education of the son in time. 3.

After this Writ Petition was argued before us at length and we perusing the explanation given by the Petitioner to the school, it is agreed that a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- is due and payable. If that sum is paid, it will be accepted in full and final settlement of all the claims of the second Respondent - School. 4.

After hearing both sides on the limited request to grant extension of time to pay the money, we direct that the sum of Rs.2,00,000/- should be paid on or before 31 December 2018. On this direction and this condition, the second Respondent - School is directed to release the original mark-sheet and other relevant documents which the Petitioner can collect within a period of one week from today. The Writ Petition is disposed of with this direction. This order should not be treated as a precedent in any future case of this nature.
