Applicant is present with his advocate. Respondent no.2 is also present with her advocate. Parties are jointly requesting for quashing of the FIR and chargesheet which is under section 354(D) and 506 IPC.

It appears that in the alleged incident, proposed marriage of respondent no. 2 then could not materialize. 3.

Respondent no. 2 who is now married has given no objection. Affidavit tendered by respondent no. 2 today is placed nilegaonkar 1/2

12-apl-697.2019.odt on record. We have perused the FIR. We are satisfied that nothing fruitful will come out if the prosecution continues. 4.

In this situation, we are willing to exercise our extra ordinary jurisdiction. It is however, subject to applicant paying Rs.10,000/- as cost to the police Welfare Fund of State of Maharashtra within two weeks from today. Subject to payment of such cost, rule shall be made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a).
