By this application, the applicant, who appears in-person, seeks a direction to the respondent No.5-Home Minister, Mantralaya, Mumbai, to decide his appeal within four weeks. SQ Pathan 1/2

39-IA-2567-2022.doc Perused the papers. The applicant, who appears in-person, had applied for a firearm licence before the respondent No.1Commissioner of Police, Thane Police Commissionerate, Thane. The said application was rejected vide order dated 17th June 2021. Pursuant thereto, the applicant filed an appeal before the respondent No.5-Authority i.e. the Home Minister. Since his appeal was not being heard, the applicant has filed the aforesaid application, seeking the aforesaid relief.

Accordingly, we direct the respondent No. 5 to decide the applicant's appeal as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within three weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Application is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
