1] Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2] The Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT), by the impugned order dated 23 December 2014, has dismissed the Petitioner's Original Application No. 562 of 2013 seeking recovery of subsistence allowance for the period between 24 April 1986 to 4 September 1987 alongwith interest at the rate of 24% per annum, as the Petitioner was placed under suspension during the said period. 3] There is no dispute that even though the claim of the Petitioner relates to the year 1986-87, Original Application No. 562 of 2013 was instituted by the Petitioner in the year 2013, i.e., after delay 1 / 2

24-wp-1346-16 of almost twenty two years. The MAT has rightly observed that there is no explanation whatsoever for this inordinate delay. The vague and unsubstantiated statement that the Petitioner was mentally disturbed, hardly constitutes any sufficient cause for entertaining such a belated application.

4] There is no error, much less jurisdictional error in the impugned order. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
