This application is moved in an appeal challenging conviction of the applicant/accused of the offence punishable avk 1/2

40-APPA-936-2018.doc under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code. The prayer made in the application is to the effect that the judgment and order dated 5th August 2008 convicting the applicant/accused be quashed and set aside on the basis of consent terms.

The offence alleged and held to be proved against the applicant/accused is a non-compoundable offence. In this view of the matter, the application is rejected.
