This is an Application filed by the Applicant through jail. Heard learned APP for the Respondent - State.

By this Application, the Applicant has prayed for expediting the trial and has also prayed that a lawyer from the Legal Aid Panel be appointed on his behalf for conducting the trial.

Perused the Application sent through
jail. The Applicant has stated that whenever he has appeared before the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, before whom the matter is pending, he was not given an opportunity to request or speak to the learned Judge personally nor was an opportunity given to speak on videoconferencing. He requests that a lawyer from the Legal Aid Panel be appointed for espousing his cause and for conducing the trial on his behalf and that the trial be expedited.

Accordingly, the Application is allowed to the extent, that the learned Judge shall forthwith appoint a Senior experienced Lawyer from the Legal Aid Panel, to conduct the trial on behalf of the Applicant. The said Lawyer shall be appointed forthwith, after which charge will be framed against the Applicant.

Registry to communicate the said order forthwith to the learned Judge before whom
S.C.No.202 of 2015 is pending i. e. Court Room No.11, Dindoshi, Mumbai either telephonically or by Fax/Email, since the date in the trial Court is tomorrow.

A copy of the said order also be forwarded to the Applicant, who is lodged at Thane Central Prison.

Accordingly, the Application is disposed of.
