The petitioners are husband and wife working as Assistant Teachers in Zilla Parishad School in Pune District at Junnar. Both the petitioners are transferred to Shindewadi from Khamondi and Anandwadi, Taluka - Junnar respectively.

Mr. Pakale, learned counsel for the petitioners having taken instructions, states that the petitioners' son is studying in 12th standard at Narayangaon, which is 20 kms from Khamondi. He also states that there are no good educational facilities for higher secondary at Shindewadi. Mr. Pakale also submits that this academic year being Shubhada S Kadam 1/2
Sr.No.901 WP 7876.16 crucial for the career progression of the petitioners' son, the petitioners should be retained at the existing school for one year. He states that the petitioners are ready and willing to join the school in which they are transferred from the next academic year. Learned counsel for respondent Nos. 2 to 4 submits if the petitioners make such representation to the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Pune, same would be considered sympathetically and favourably. The statement is accepted.

In the above circumstances, we dispose of this petition with liberty to the petitioners to make representation to the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Pune, for their retention at the existing places/schools for one year. If such representation is filed within one week from today, the Chief Executive Officer shall consider the same sympathetically and favourably within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of such representation.

In the event, any order is passed, adverse to the petitioners interest, the petitioners are at liberty to approach this Court. 6.
