This is an application received through jail from the aforesaid applicant who is facing trial in Sessions Case No.9 of 2013 pending on the file of Metropolitan Magistrate, 68th Court, Borivali, Mumbai. The report received from Metropolitan Magistrate, 68th Court, Borivali, Mumbai indicates that about 4000 cases which are of 5 years or 10 years old pending on the file of the Court and preference is given to old cases. Considering the report of the Metropolitan Magistrate and pendency of the old matters, I am not inclined to give any directions to dispose of the case in any specific time frame. Nonetheless, the learned Metropolitan Magistrate shall make every possible endeavour to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible.
