After hearing both sides, we are of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of with a direction that the respondent No.4 shall admit the petitioner to the Second Year of B.Tech. Course (Academic Year 2016-2017), subject to the final decision on the caste claim.

The petitioner's caste claim be scrutinized and verified as expeditiously as possible and within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

We clarify that we have not expressed any opinion on the rival contentions as far as the merits are concerned. 4.
