The Applicant seeks temporary bail on the ground of 'Dastar Bandi' ceremony of his grandson from 08/07/2023 to 15/07/2023.

The Applicant has placed on record letter/certificate of Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Four Bunglows) certifying that ' Dastar Bandi'

ceremony is scheduled on 08/07/2023 till 15/07/2023. It is stated that the said ceremony is a very important milestone in the life of a young Sikh male child and it is a religious tradition in which the eldest male member of the family alongwith the Gurudwara Head Granthi 1/3

ties the Dastar (Turban) for the young male child in the presence of Shri Guru Granth Saheb ji.

Learned counsel for the Applicant states that during the period of Dastar Bandi, the Applicant shall stay at Flat No.1401, Stellar Tower, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri (west), Mumbai and he shall not leave the jurisdiction of Oshiwara Police Station. Statement is accepted.

Considering the importance of the ceremony and also in view of the said statement, the Applicant is granted temporary bail from 07/07/2023 till 16/07/2023 on furnishing cash bail in the sum of Rs.1,00,000/-.

The Applicant shall surrender before the Superintendent, Taloja Jail on 17/07/2023 at 11.00 a.m.

The Applicant shall report to the PI, Oshiwara Police Station from 08/07/2023 to 16/07/2023 between 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

The Applicant shall furnish his contact details and shall not leave the jurisdiction of Oshiwara Police Station during this period. 8.

The application stands disposed of.
