Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This is the second bail application preferred by the applicant. The applicant's first bail application being Criminal Bail Application No. 2464 of 2015 was rejected on merits by this Court (Coram : Revati Mohite Dere, J.) vide order dated 22nd March 2016. At the outset, learned counsel for the applicant does not press this application on merits and requests that since the trial has 1/3

commenced and eight witnesses have been examined, this Court be pleased to expedite the trial of the applicant. Learned A.P.P, on the instructions of PC Mr. Maruti Shankar Jadhav, who is present in Court, states that eight witnesses have been examined till date and that the prosecution intends to examine about 30 witnesses more.

Since the trial has already commenced and about eight witnesses are examined and 30 more witnesses are left to be examined, it would be appropriate to direct the learned Sessions Judge to dispose of the Sessions case as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within six months from the date of receipt of this order. Learned counsel for the applicant assures that the applicant will cooperate in the conduct of the trial. If the accused who are out on bail do not remain present on the dates given by the trial Court, the trial Court is at liberty to take 2/3

appropriate steps as against the said accused including issuing notice for cancellation of their bail.

Application is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. REVATI MOHITE DERE, J.
