The applicant is being prosecuted for the offence punishable under Section 489 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The first application was withdrawn after the Court had disclosed that the Court was not inclined to grant bail.

On perusal of the papers of investigation, it is clear that there is sufficient incriminating material against the present applicant. He was engaged in circulation of counterfeit currency notes. It is also a matter of record that the three counterfeit notes were seized from the custody of the present applicant. It is an offence against the State and would affect the economy of the Nation. In view of this, the application being sans merits, stands rejected.
