The grievance in this PIL is confined to yearly programme of Ekjaiti Mushaira organized by the sixth respondent, who is a political leader. The grievance is that the programme is allowed to be conducted and music is allowed to be played even after 10.00 p.m. in breach of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.

The Learned counsel appearing on behalf of Respondent No.6, on instructions of the respondent No.6 states that whenever he organizes Ekjaiti Mushaira programme in future, he shall ensure that such programme is not conducted after 10.00 p.m. On instructions he further states that Respondent No.6 will

rsk 2 CRPIL-56-13.doc obtain necessary permissions from the concerned authorities for holding such function and will abide by all terms and conditions which may be imposed by the police and other government authorities.

We accept the aforesaid statements as an undertakings of Respondent No.6. In view of these statements, no further direction is required to be issued in the PIL and, therefore, the same is accordingly disposed of.
