We have heard Mr. Damle, learned Senior Counsel for both petitioners.

With his assistance, we have perused the petitions and the annexures thereto, including the impugned punishment

We do not think that we would be justified in interfering with the quantum of punishment. Though the petitioners' Senior Counsel may term them as harsh and severe, we do not find that the Principal of the College has taken any extreme step or view. Eventually, discipline has to be enforced at the campus. The discipline and order must be maintained at all cost, especially by those students who have lodged themselves in the hostel. In the circumstances and the incident and involvement of the delinquent students being admitted, we do not find any merit in both the petitions. They are dismissed. Let the Transfer Certificates be issued to these petitioners by the College authorities during the course of the day and preferably on line.
