By this petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have impugned the order dated 27th May, 2014 passed by the learned Minister (Revenue) allowing the appeal filed by the contesting respondents and setting aside the order dated 11th January, 2011 passed by the District Superintendent, Land Records, Khed modifying the consolidation scheme.

Admittedly the consolidation scheme was finalized on 8th January, 1981. The petitioners made an application for modification of the scheme on 3rd June, 2006 i.e. after 25 years. Learned District Superintendent of Land Record issued a corrigendum to the earlier sanctioned scheme after 25 years. Learned Minister has set aside the order of corrigendum on various grounds including on the ground that 1/2

905-wp8025-14.doc the application for modification was made after 25 years from the date of the sanctioned scheme. I do not find any infirmity in the impugned order passed by the learned Minister. The writ petition is devoid of merit and is accordingly dismissed.

If the petitioners have any other remedy in law, the petitioners would be entitled to adopt such remedy. No order as to costs.
