None appears for the respondent to oppose the prayer made in Interim Application N. 16943 of 2022. The petitioners in W.P. No.2995 of 2013 have filed this application seeking extension of time to comply with the order dated 23rd March, 2022 by which the writ petition was finally disposed of. Affidavit of service filed in the Court by Ms. Masurkar, learned advocate for the applicants shall be retained with the record. 2.

While dismissing W.P. No. 2995 of 2013 by the order dated 23rd March, 2022, we had directed the writ petitioners/applicants to consider the case of the respondent for promotion as early as possible but positively within three months from date of receipt of a copy of the order.

This application has been filed on 12th July, 2022 seeking, inter alia, the following relief: - "(a) That this Hon'ble court be pleased to further extend the time limit by further 3 months from 28.07.2022 for implementation of judgment and order dated 23.03.2022 in the matter."

Granting time, as prayed for, would mean that the applicants would be given time to consider the case of the respondent for promotion by a period in excess of eight months from the date of the order. It is not appreciated as to why such a long time is required to be taken by the applicants to pass an appropriate order upon considering the respondent for promotion.

In such view of the matter, we grant time but not to the extent as prayed for in the application. The case of the respondent must be considered by 15th September, 2022 positively.

With this direction, the interim application stands disposed of. No costs.
