These applications have been moved for suspension of sentence preferred by both the appellants/accused who are convicted for the offences under section 7, 13 (1)(d) r/w 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The appeals preferred by the applicants are already admitted vide order dated 26.6.2015. On the same day, by separate order the prayer for bail during the pendency of the appeal was granted as both the applicants were directed to be released on same bail as granted by the Trial Court with fresh bonds. Today learned counsel stated that earlier two prayers were 1/2

9-APPA-840-841-2015.odt made in the said application for bail during the pendency of the appeal, one for grant of bail and another for suspension of sentence. In fact, the effect of grant of bail is definitely suspension of the sentence but still here in these separate applications, it is made clear that by the said order dated 26th June,2015 in Application Nos. 697 of 2015 and 638 of 2015 the applicants were granted bail and also their substantive sentences were suspended.

With the above clarification both the applications are disposed of.
