By way of present letter petition, the Petitioner has prayed for grant of emergency parole leave. It is stated in the letter petition that in similar circumstances, the other convicts were released by grant of parole leave.

Notice was issued by this Court on 5th April 2022. It was stated in our order dated 5th April 2022 that an appeal against conviction was preferred by the Petitioner in this Court, namely, Criminal Appeal No. 754 of 2018. Learned APP, on instructions, today submitted that appeal preferred by the petitioner is allowed and in view of the judgment and order of this Court, the Petitioner is directed to be released from the prison vide order dated 13th July 2021 and he was patilsr 1 / 2
actually released from the prison on that very date, i.e., 13th July 2021. 3.
In view of the above facts, nothing survives for consideration in this petition and accordingly the petition is disposed of. 4.
The Registry / Committee to quantify the fees of the appointed advocate as per the extant Rules and pay the same to him at the earliest possible.
