This matter was on board on 19th December, 2022 when this Court granted time to the Additional Government Pleader to verify as to whether the respondent no.3 has already disbursed the amount payable to the petitioners or not and if not disbursed as to when the same would be disbursed.

Mr.Patel, learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions states that 99 claimants are entitled to payment of compensation. Out of 99 persons, 22 claimants have already been paid. 28 claimants are likely to be paid today. 39 claimants had 1/2
902-cp525-22.doc approached the respondent no.3 yesterday and have agreed to furnish their details. The payment of compensation would be released to those 39 claimants within two weeks from today after identification of the documents.

Insofar as the balance 10 claimants are concerned, it is stated that they have expired. Learned Additional Government Pleader states that the list of 10 claimants has been already furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners agrees to furnish such requisite details / documents to the learned Additional Government Pleader within three weeks from today. Upon verification of such documents, the respondent no.3 to release payment of compensation in favour of such persons within four weeks thereafter.

The contempt petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. Place the matter on board for reporting compliance on 27th February, 2023.
