In view of the fact that the Petitioners have already adopted civil proceedings to assert their rights in respect of the lands in question and since the mutation entries are made only for fiscal purposes and do not confer any rights, it is not necessary to entertain the above Petitions challenging the order passed by the Additional Commissioner in respect of the mutation entries. The above Writ Petitions are accordingly disposed of. Needless to state that the mutation entries would be subject to the result of the civil proceedings. The civil proceedings would be tried on their own merits and in accordance with law uninfluenced by the mutation entries.
