Applicants' case is, although the proceedings 1/3
against the applicant in the C.C. No.4884/2017 and in the C.C. No.3088/2017 pending in the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, are stayed by this Court, applicant's application for membership of Supreme Court Bar Association, has not been processed. Thus, he seeks declaration, "that the pendency of the criminal proceedings against him, which by the virtue of order dated 22nd August, 2019 in the above proceedings stand stayed will not be a disqualification for grant of membership of the Applicant of the Supreme Court Bar Association and consequential direction to admit the Applicant as member of Supreme Court Bar Association with retrospective effect from 08th November, 2019, if the Applicant is not disqualified on any other grounds in exercise of inherent powers of this court." 2.
This Court vide order dated 22nd August, 2019, clarified that pendency of proceedings against the Applicant may not be construed as impediment for 2/3
enrolling Applicant as a member of Supreme Court Bar Association. Rather I am unable to understand how this Court in these proceedings can grant the relief, sought by the Applicant.
