Mr. Sale, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner at the outset submitted that the Petitioners would be satisfied, at this stage, if their representation [copy of which is annexed at Exhibit- O, page 80 to the petition] is directed to be decided in a time bound manner. 2.

Mr. Sawant, the learned AGP submitted that the said representation is addressed to the Secretary of Irrigation Department and the Secretary of Revenue and Forests Department, but the proper authority to decide the same is Collector Sangli. 3.

In the light of above, we dispose of this writ petition by passing following order :

-: O R D E R :- [1] The Petitioners shall submit on or before 20th patilsr 1 / 2

February 2018 their detailed representation [copy of which is at Exhibit-O to the petition] to the Collector Sangli.

[2] The Collector Sangli shall decide the said representation within 12 weeks of its receipt. [3] The Collector Sangli shall hear the Petitioners as well as the acquiring body.

[4] It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter and the Collector shall decide the said representation of the Petitioners independently, on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law.
