This is an application for extension of 8 weeks to furnish surety. The Applicant was convicted and sentenced by Special Judge (CBI) for Greater Bombay, vide his Judgment and Order dated 23/02/2022 passed in CBI Special Case No.100 of Digitally signed by MANUSHREE V NESARIKAR Date:
2022.11.25 11:12:20 +0530 MANUSHREE V NESARIKAR 1999. The Applicant was the original accused No.6 in that case Nesarikar
2 / 3 and he was convicted and sentenced u/s 420, 120-B, 465, 471, 467 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Appeal vide Criminal Appeal No.332 of 2022 challenging the impugned order is admitted by this Court. He was also granted bail by this Court vide order dated 27/04/2022 passed in Interim Application No.1093 of 2022 and Interim Application No.1092 of 2022 in Criminal Appeal No.332 of 2022. He was initially permitted to furnish cash bail security of Rs.25,000/- for a period of 8 weeks from 27/04/2022. That period is over. The Applicant has not furnished the surety. 3.
Learned counsel for the Applicant submitted that it took a little more time to deposit the fine amount which was reduced by the said order while granting bail. Therefore he could not furnish surety within the stipulated time. He seeks 8 weeks time to furnish surety.

Learned counsel for the Respondent No.1 has no objection. Hence time to furnish surety is extended by a period of 8 weeks from today.
