The Applicant was granted bail by this Court vide order dated 23rd February 2016. The Applicant was directed to be released on bail on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.50,000/- with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount. Thereafter the Applicant preferred another application before this Court and order was passed on 18th April 2017 permitting the Applicant to furnish cash bail of Rs.1,00,000/- for a period of six weeks from the date of order. In pursuance to the said order, after a period of ten days, the Applicant furnished cash bail as stated above and he was released. It is submitted that since the surety could not be furnished, as directed in the order granting bail, another application was moved before this Court seeking provisional extension of cash bail granted to the Applicant. This Court by order dated 30th May 2017 had extended
2 of 2 916.APPP.621.2017 the facility of cash bail for a period of six weeks. Learned advocate for Applicant submits that the surety has been presented and verification report is awaited, which will take about eight weeks time. In the circumstances, it is submitted that provisional cash bail granted to the Applicant by this Court, may be extended for a further period of eight weeks.

Learned advocate for the Applicant submitted that notice has been served upon the Respondents that application is kept for hearing today. However, none appears for Narcotic Control Bureau. 3.
Hence, I pass following order :
ORDER
(i) The provisional cash bail granted to the Applicant is extended for a further period of eight weeks from today i.e. upto 07th September 2017;
(ii) Criminal Application No.621 of 2017 is disposed of. (PRAKASH D. NAIK, J.) MST
