Learned AGP has placed on record a circular dated 13th December, 1999. He has submitted that on last two occasions the post of Sarpanch was not reserved for women. Therefore, this time the post of Sarpanch was reserved for the women (general) category. The election process has already started. In this view of the matter, no interference is warranted under extraordinary writ jurisdiction of this Court. Petition is disposed of.
