We have perused our order dated 06.10.2021.

Today, Mr. S. L. Babar, learned AGP has placed before us a medical report dated 08.10.2021 of the B. J. Government Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune.

As per the report, the baby was born on 13.09.2021 but was BGP.

shifted to Neonatal ICU in view of prematurity, very low birth weight and respiratory distress syndrome. After being treated in the Neonatal ICU, the baby is presently off oxygen support and is on full oro-gastric feeds but is on intravenous antibiotics which may have to be continued for six weeks. Baby was 25 days old as on 08.10.2021. As per the report, the Child Welfare Committee has given the permission to hand over the baby to Kusumbai Motichand Mahila Sevagram Sanstha after discharge. The medical report says that MRI (brain) would be required before discharge and depending upon MRI report, antibiotics may have to be continued. 5.

In view of above, we direct State of Maharashtra in the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department to look after the well being of the child till it is handed over to Kusumbai Motichand Mahila Sevagram Sanstha. We also direct Child Welfare Committee, Pune to monitor the well being of the child till such time as is required. 6.

All the authorities shall take appropriate steps in the best interest of the child.
