The aforesaid application has been filed through the advocate appointed by the Legal Aid Committee, seeking condonation of delay of 7 years and 2 days caused in filing the aforesaid Criminal Appeal.

14-IA-2422-2023.doc The reasons for filing the appeal belatedly after 7 years, have been set-out in paragraph Nos. 2 to 4 of the said application. The main reason for filing the appeal belatedly appears that the applicant was unable to contact his relatives and none of his relatives have approached any lawyer and that he has not received any notes of evidence and as such, could not file the appeal in time.

Considering the aforesaid, application is allowed and delay of 7 years and 2 days caused in filing the aforesaid Criminal Appeal, is condoned.

Application is accordingly disposed of.
