By consent, Writ Petition (St) No.17679 of 2019 is taken on Board. 2.

In all the above Writ Petitions the grievance of the Petitioner is that their Applications under section 14 of the SARFAESI Act are pending before the District Magistrate since January/February/March 2019 and have so far not been disposed of.

Proviso to section 14 mandates that the District Magistrate is required to dispose of Applications under section 14 within 30 days and at the highest within 60 days. Inasmuch as, the Applications of the Petitioner are pending since January/February/March 2019, it is expected of the District Magistrate to follow the mandate of section 14 of the SARFAESI Act. We, therefore, direct the District Magistrate to decide Applications of the Petitioner under section 14 of the SARFAESI expeditiously and in any event by 9 September 2019.
