Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms.Mhatre, the learned APP appearing for the Respondent - State.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to prefer an appeal against the impugned order passed by the Special Inspector General of Prisons, whereby the application of the petitioner for furlough leave came to be rejected. The learned Counsel for the

27_wp.3191.2021.doc petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if the appellate authority is directed to decide the appeal within a stipulated period.

In view of the above, leave granted as prayed for. Let the Appeal be filed before the competent authority within a period of two weeks from today. In the event, the Appeal is filed within the aforesaid period, the appellate authority shall make an endeavour to decide the said appeal within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of the appeal.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
