Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State. The wife of the detenu has filed this petition challenging the detention of her husband and seeking an order to quash and set aside the detention order dated 29th September, 2014 passed by respondent No.1.

Mr.Mhaispurkar, learned counsel for the petitiner has placed on record an order dated 24th July, 2015 passed by the Principal Secretary (Appeals and Security), Government of 1/2

911) wp2926-15 Maharashtra, Home Department and Detaining Authority. The order shows that in exercise of the powers under section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 read with Article 22(5) of the Constitution of India, the detaining authority has revoked the said order. The Order is taken on record.

In the above circumstances, the petition is rendered infructuous and is dismissed as such.
