This is an application seeking transit anticipatory bail. Learned advocate for Applicant submitted that a case is pending against the Applicant at Bangalore Metropolitan Magistrate's 1133XXV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, at Bangalore being CC No.548 of 2017 for offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. The Applicant learnt about the said fact when police attached to local police station had visited the office of Applicant and informed him that non-bailable warrant has been issued against him by the aforesaid Court. The offence appears to have been registered under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act.

Learned advocate for Applicant submits that with a view to approach the competent Court for seeking appropriate reliefs, the Applicant may be protected for a temporary period by granting transit anticipatory bail.

Taking into consideration aforesaid circumstances, temporary protection can be granted to the Applicant with a view to enable him to approach the competent Court for seeking appropriate reliefs. Hence, I pass following order :

ORDER

(i) In the event of arrest of Applicant in connection with nonbailable warrant issued in respect to CC No.548 of 2017 pending at Bangalore Metropolitan Magistrate's 1133-XXV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, at Bangalore, the Applicant be released on transit anticipatory bail on furnishing PR bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount; (ii) This interim protection is granted for a period of four weeks from today i.e. till 15th August 2017, to enable the Applicant to approach the competent Court for seeking appropriate relief; (iii) Anticipatory Bail Application is disposed off.
