Learned counsel for the applicant seeks permission to amend the interim application, by adding paragraph Nos.7(a) and 8(a).

Heard learned counsel appearing for the applicant in the Interim Application.

By the present application, the applicant is seeking extension of time of four weeks to furnish the sureties as a condition imposed in the order dated 19/04/2021, under which the applicant came to be released on bail. The order dated 19/04/2021 directed the applicant to be released on bail on executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. The applicant was also permitted to furnish provisional cash bail in the sum of Rs.25,000/- for a period of eight weeks in lieu of sureties.

Since the sureties could not be furnished within the time prescribed, an extension is sought on behalf of the applicant and learned counsel for the applicant states that due to Covid pandemic, the sureties could not be arranged apart from the fact that the counsel for the applicant met with an accident. 6.

On being convinced that the reasons cited are bonafide, I am inclined to permit the applicant to furnish the sureties, within four weeks from today and, the time as granted by order dated 19/04/2021 shall stand modified to this extent. 7.

It is made clear that if there is no compliance of this order

3/3 15 IA-155.22.odt within a period of four weeks, the applicant shall be liable to be arrested by the Investigating Officer.
