The project of the writ petitioner requires environmental clearance under the Environment Impact Assessment Notification issued in the year 2006. A proposal (Exhibit-A) was submitted on 13 April 2018 and we find that till date, the Environment Impact Assessment Authority has not taken any final decision notwithstanding the State Expert Appraisal Committee having made positive recommendations.

Since all relevant material has been supplied by the petitioner, we direct the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority to decide the application submitted for the purpose of environmental clearance at the next meeting of the committee and if for some reason it cannot be taken up at the next meeting, the same would be taken up and decided within six weeks from today. Petition is disposed of.
