The petitioner in present petition questions the Notice dated 4th July, 2016 issued by Sarkarwada Police Station, Nashik City Police to the petitioner, particularly the directions issued in the Notice by Senior Police Inspector directing the Chairperson of the petitioner to pay the subject amount of Rs.22 Crores (Rupees Twenty Two Crores only) alongwith simple interest of 12% per annum on demand.

Learned Counsel appearing for petitioner submits that consequent to the receipt of notice, the petitioner appeared before the Investigating Officer. The petitioner apprehends coercive steps by Police as they did not comply with the directions of payment of money. 3.
Without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, we observe that the subject notice was issued under Section 160 of Cr.P.C. As petitioners made a statement that they appeared before the Investigating Officer, the purpose of issuance of notice is over. 4.
Without prejudice to the rights of parties and with aforesaid observations, petition stands disposed of.
