P.C:- The grievance of the Petitioner is that his claim for verification of the Caste Certificate is pending since June, 2013 before the Respondent No.2 - Caste Scrutiny Committee. According to him, the District Civil Surgeon, Nashik had forwarded the Petitioner's claim vide letter dated 3rd June, 2013 - Exh. D to Respondent No.2 - Caste Scrutiny Committee, but even after lapse of more than four years, the caste validity claim has not been decided by the said Committee. He also points out that earlier the caste claim was decided on 3rd November, 2015 vide Exh. I but the order passed by the Caste Scrutiny Committee was re-called and matter is still pending before the Committee, for issuance of Caste Validity Certificate.

wp-9263-2016 The learned AGP submits that Petitioner's claim shall be decided by Respondent No.2- Caste Scrutiny Committee as expeditiously as possible.
Having regard to the aforesaid, we direct the Respondent No.2- Caste Scrutiny Committee to to decide the Petitioner's caste validity claim as expeditiously as possible but in any case not less than three months from the date of appearance of the Petitioner before the Committee.
Petitioner to appear before Respondent No.2- Caste Scrutiny Committee on 3rd July, 2017 at 11.00 a.m.
Till the Petition is decided, no coercive steps be taken against the Petitioner by Respondent Nos. 1 and 3.
