The petitioner applied for post of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector against an advertisement issued on 13/01/2017. Admittedly, the petitioner submitted online application form as a candidate belonging to NT (B). The petitioner later on applied to be considered as a candidate belonging to 'Open General'. The cut off mark for 'Open General' is 24. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner ought to have been considered as candidate belonging to 'Open Female' where the cut off mark is 1.

2 5.8761.17 wp The learned AGP appearing for the State produced original record before us which includes application form submitted by the petitioner, Government circular dated 13/08/2014. It is submitted that the petitioner applied in the category of 'Open General', she was not found eligible to allow her to appear in the written examination which were conducted on 06/08/2017.

We have perused the record placed before us. Considering the submissions advanced and in view of the aforementioned explanation submitted by the State, we are not inclined to interfere in the matter by granting relief as prayed for by the petitioner. There is no merit in the petition.

Petition is accordingly rejected.
