The petitioner, Ex-Director of the Bhandari Cooperative Bank Ltd., who was subjected to the inquiry under Section 88 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, has approached this Court seeking a direction to decide the appeal preferred by him under Section 154(2) of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960 which is pending before the Hon'ble Minister.

The learned counsel for the petitioner makes a statement that the appeal has been heard and closed for orders but N.S. Kamble page 1 of 2

In such circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, we deem it expedient to direct the respondent No.1 to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. With the aforesaid direction, the petition is disposed of.

The learned AGP to communicate the said order to the respondent No.1.
