The Applicant has preferred this application through jail. The petitioner has also preferred Criminal Appeal No.501 of 2016 against his conviction and sentence u/s 302 of the Indian Penal Code as well as Criminal Application No.916 of 2016 in the said Appeal wherein he has prayed for bail.

The prayer in the present application is that an advocate be appointed at State cost to represent the applicant in his Appeal as well as his application. In view of the prayer made by the applicant, we appoint Mr.Prosper D'souza, who is on the panel of High Court Legal Services 1 / 2
