Heard the learned counsel for the Applicant and the learned APP for the State.

By this application the applicant seeks extension of time to furnish the sureties. The applicant was enlarged on bail vide order dated 14th July, 2015 passed in Criminal Bail Application No.797 of 2015. As per clause (i) of para 6 of the said order, the applicant was initially released on

2/3 cash bail in the sum of Rs.50,000/-. The Applicant was thereafter directed to furnish P.R. Bond of Rs.50,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount, within a period of two weeks, after his release from jail, to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.

Learned Counsel for the Applicant states that the applicant's father and brother were also accused in the said case and have been released on bail and accordingly they were required to furnish sureties before the Trial Court. He submits that the relatives and friends have already stood as sureties for them and hence it was difficult for the very same persons to stand as sureties for the applicant. 4.

Learned Counsel for the Applicant submits that although it is prayed in the application that the period be extended by four weeks, he is praying that the time be extended by a period of eight weeks. He states that the applicant will not seek any further extension of time if period of eight weeks is granted.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by the learned counsel for the applicant, the Application is allowed to the extent that the applicant

3/3 is granted further time of eight weeks to furnish the sureties as directed vide order dated 14th July, 2015.
