None appeared for the Petitioners in the morning session. Even in the afternoon session, none appears for the Petitioners. The prayers made in this Petition are essentially for directing the fifth Respondent to complete the project of Nehru Nagar Slum Rehabilitation Scheme which is a scheme for Integrated Housing and Slum Development Program (IHSDP).

In Paragraph 22 of the affidavit filed by Shri Prashant D. Rasal, Chief Officer of the fifth Respondent, it is stated thus:

As a matter of fact, I say that the Central Government has in recent past decided to discontinue the Scheme namely Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Rural Mission. Resultantly the IHSDP programme launched under the said Scheme is also discontinued. Now the Central Government has introduced new scheme namely Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)- Urban- Housing for all by 2022. Therefore, this Respondent will have to submit fresh proposal under the said new Scheme for the purpose of rehabilitation of the slums in the Ichalkaranji city. I say that in view of the aforesaid decision taken by the Central Government nothing survives in the present Petition." 3.

In view of this statement, and in view of discontinuation of the Scheme, the reliefs prayed for in this Petition cannot be granted. Hence, the Petition is rejected.
