The petitioner challenges division of wards and reservation of seats for Scheduled Caste category. He submitted that the division of wards has been done and the seats are allotted on 8th February, 2015, by the Election Commission. Objections were called under the provisions of Rule 5 of the Maharashtra Village Panchayat (Number of Members, Division into wards and Reservation of Seats) Rules, 1966. The petitioner

rpa 2/3 submitted objections and he was heard. It is submitted by the counsel that on 4th March, 2015, a representation has been made to the Election Commission raising issues concerning the reservation of seats for Schedule Caste population in other wards. In view of the fact that the division of wards and reservation of seats was completed in accordance with the required procedure under Rule 4(2) of the said Rules, further consideration of the same, based on the representation submitted is not warranted in law. No interference is called for. The Writ Petition is dismissed.
