The issue raised in the present petition has already been considered by a co-ordinate Division Bench of this Court presided over by the Hon'ble Chief Justice in Public Interest Litigation No.177 of 2018.

Vide order dated 9th January, 2019, the Division Bench has directed the Union of India to take a decision within a period of four weeks on the proposal submitted by the State Government on 20th November, 2018, seeking full tenure of two years on the post of Director General of Police to Respondent no.4 therein.

In that view of the matter, no order in the present PIL is warranted and the same deserves to be disposed of in view of the directions passed in PIL No.177 of 2018.
