The petition is filed challenging the externment order passed under Section 56(1)(b) of the Bombay Police Act, 1951. The said order is already challenged by filing an appeal under Section 60 of the Bombay Police Act, 1951, before the appellate authority-respondent No.3. The petitioner has also filed a stay application in the said appeal. 3.
The short grievance made by Mr.Mohite, learned counsel for the petitioner is that, though the appeal and stay application is filed on 27th July, 2015, still no orders are passed by the appellate authority in Shubhada S Kadam 1/2
Sr.No.907 WP 3072.15 the said stay application. He submitted that the stay application is placed for orders on 11th August, 2015.

In the above circumstances, we deem it appropriate to direct the appellate authority to dispose of the said stay application filed by the petitioner as far as possible on 11th August, 2015 itself, and if not possible, then, in any case within a period of two weeks thereafter. Ordered accordingly.

In the event, the petitioner's application for stay is rejected, the appellate authority shall endeavour to dispose of the entire appeal filed by the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of four weeks thereafter.

In the light of the above order, the writ petition stands disposed of.
