The learned Advocate for the applicant submits that instead of getting the application decided on merits, she will be satisfied if trial of the alleged offence is expedited by this Court, as the applicant is behind bars since one and half years. Request so made is reasonable, as the offence came to be registered on 23/12/2015 and as such, with passage of time, the trial must be riped for hearing.

In this view of the matter, the application is allowed to be withdrawn with a direction to the learned trial Court to take up the trial for hearing expeditiously and to make every endeavour to dispose it of within a period of eight months from the date of communication of this Order.
