The Learned Additional Solicitor General, Mr. A. C. Singh draws our attention to the letter dated 31-7-2017, addressed by the Zonal Director, Narcotics Control Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mumbai Zonal Unit to Shri Atul S. Sarpande, the special public prosecutor who was appearing in the case in question. By the said letter, Shri Sarpande has been asked to return all the cases of the Narcotic Bureau Mumbai to the said office. In view of the said letter, there is now no warrant to consider the grant of any relief in the above Criminal Writ Petition. The said letter is taken on record and marked as "X" for identification. The above Criminal Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of as having turned infructuous.
