We direct the Jail Superintendent, Kolhapur Prison, to consider the petition of the petitioner as a representation, particularly, having regard to the Circular dated 13th November 2018 and even though the punishment for removal of the name from the remission register is ordered in 2015, the said punishment was even effective from 2013 i.e. the date of his arrest and as such, the petitioner's entitlement for remission, as per the policy of the Government, should have been reconsidered within a period of six years from the date he was arrested and not from the date the order of punishment was passed. 3.

We expect the authority to decide the said claim and

The writ petition stands disposed of.
